I have to confess. I’m the first person to take the easy way out and send an E-greeting for someone’s birthday or attach a “To, From” label on a gift. Here’s my personal favorite: “I’m so sorry but I forgot the card at home! I’ll bring it to you next time I see you.”

Enough with the excuses. This year I’m going to sit down and write a personal note with an actual greeting card to each person in my life. In my quest for finding the perfect holiday cards, I’ve compiled a list of my top picks.

Pancake & Franks are definitely going out to my closest friends. These letterpressed cards are modern, clean and stand out from the rest of those generic drugstore-bought cards.

Potion Brand designs the cutest cards for just about everyone on your list. The boxed set comes as a variety pack but I can’t decide which I like best. Looks like I’m buying all three.

Snow & Graham has the perfect-sized tiny card for those people that I just don’t have that much to say to. Still, I’d like to write something. I love the cardinals print and mittens design.

Amy Smyth Made It makes artistically designed cards and because they’re blank inside that leaves plenty of room to write your deepest, warmest thoughts. Some of these cards are even nice enough to frame.

Postachica is just what you need if you have a large group of co-workers or lots of cousins to write to. Just choose a card, then a greeting and have your personalized message imprinted inside.
