Whether you’re a junk food junkie or a health freak, there’s a constant search for something great tasting and guilt-free. And whether you have found the perfect recipe or not, there is always the strive to eat as best we can.

Dog lover and founder of Emma Lou’s Homemade Stews, Kristen Zang, thought her furry friend deserved the same sort of healthful attention. At the age of eight her dog Emma Lou was eating store-bought food that promises to promote health. Nothing was working for her quickly aging pup so she took matters into her own hands. After lots of research and taste tests, Kristen came up with a few recipes that within three months had Emma Lou’s health squeaky clean.

Now that Emma Lou is twelve years old, Kristen has been cooking up locally grown delights out of her commercial kitchen for clients of all ages. Her homemade, human-grade, all-natural delivery service offers three formulas⎯chicken, beef or turkey, with rice and veggies.

It sorta makes me want to try it myself. Would that be bad?
