Reminiscent of old school ice cream trucks is a more up-to-date postal jeep-turned chrome and pink delivery truck with a made-to-order treat. Coolhaus is a Los Angeles-based ice cream sandwich truck that makes its way through the city’s local events and latest hotspots.

Founders Freya Estreller and Natasha Case don’t make just any ordinary ice cream sandwich. The all-natural ice cream, made with organic ingredients, is tucked in between two cookies with five basic flavors and more to come. There’s the sugar cookie with strawberry ice cream, chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, oatmeal cookie with cinnamon ice cream, chocolate chip with mint chip ice cream and ginger cookie and lemon ice cream. You’ll also discover featured flavors for certain events they attend around town. And since each sandwich is made to order, feel free to mix certain flavors to your liking.

Even the wrapper is edible. It is made out of rice paper and can actually be printed on with soy-based ink. Big brands like MySpace, Ladies Home Journal, Gourmet, Bon Appetit are a few who’ve taken advantage of this “cool” concept.
