Chocolate and facials are two of my favorite things. When I found out that Dtox Day Spa introduced a new treatment combining a facial with cocoa, I jumped at the chance to check it out.

Dtox’s Hot Cocoa facial starts with a deep cleansing, using their signature Orange Cleansing Souffle, followed by exfoliation, extractions, and a light facial massage. I opted to add on a Glycolic Peel, at the suggestion of my knowledgeable aesthetician, for deeper exfoliation.

The highlight of the treatment is the Hot Cocoa mask. Applied over a thin layer of gauze, the mask heats up and hardens as it goes to work. The chocolaty smell is a bonus! While the mask was refreshing and rejuvenating my skin, I enjoyed a super-relaxing hot stone massage on my arms. I was feeling incredibly pampered when the mask was removed.

After applying Dtox’s Hydrating Vitamin Cream, my skin was silky smooth with a radiant glow. And the cup of hot cocoa (topped with marshmallows, of course) was icing on the cake.
